Hello to everyone at Basset Rescue,

FLASH, Doug and I would just like to thank everyone at Basset Hound Rescue of Ontario for the awesome day at the 2009 Basset Bustle Extravaganza.

We had such a great time and had so much fun. Seeing all the beautiful basset hounds brought tears of happiness to my eyes! It was a thrill to meet people that love basset hounds as much as we do. I was like a kid: Happy and giddy all day!

We were extremely happy to finally meet Caroline. It's because of all her hard work and everyone at the organisation that FLASH is part of our family now!!!!!

THANK YOU for everything !!!!
We are looking forward next year's Basset Bustle.

I have to say a little something in regards to The Bustle what a great time it was!!!!!!!!! Kelly and I just loved it and the hounds well they slept for at least two days lol. I sure hope next year it's the same kind of set up.

Just a note to tell you how much I, my Mom and Sadie Annabelle enjoyed last weekend in Hamilton. Thank you for all your hard work and all the other volunteers as well.

Dudley and Molly had a great time at the Basset Bustle last week. It was wonderful to see all the beautiful basset hounds running around the park and having fun. We were also very glad to meet Mr. Jiggs, who we think may have been a littermate of Molly's because they look so much alike and are around the same age. Also, to see two of the other Bancroft bassets - Bonnie and Glory - now Sally. They are such wonderful dogs, we are lucky to have adopted them. Molly is snuggled up to me right now on the couch snoring away, and I just love it!

I wanted to thank you and the other volunteers from the Basset Hound Rescue of Ontario for all the hard work you do to ensure these dogs are looked after. I truly wish I had more time in my life to volunteer - even in some small way. Maybe doing some administrative work, or phone work, I don't have a lot of time, but since I've had bassets in my life, they are so dear to me, I'd like to help out.

Thanks again for all the hard work you do! Looking forward to the 2010 Basset Bustle!!!!

We would like to thank you and everyone who was involved in the Basset Bustle for a fantastic weekend! Our poochies had a blast, as did we!

It was such a wonderful experience to see a large group of Bassets together and Basset lovers as well. We made so many friends over the course of the weekend, both two and four legged!

We are already looking forward to next year.

What a great time we had! The pizza was delicious and the conversation was wonderful. The talk was about these wonderful dogs and how we love them so much. Bonnie was quite a social butterfly visiting everyone.

Saturday was a beautiful day and we are happy that we will have The Bustle there next year.

Thank you all very much for doing the Basset Bustle. I know it was a long day but I think it was a success. Thank you all for the hard work and planning that went into the day for us all to enjoy.

Maggie and I would like to take this opportunity to say "Thank You" for all the time, talent and energy that went into making yesterday at the Bustle such a special day for Maggie and I. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by David 'til we said our Goodbyes we had a phenomenal time. I spoke to several wonderful people, who generously shared their knowledge of the Basset breed, finally met the folks ,who have Maggie's sister, Daphne , as part of their family and am looking into joining the Basset Club of Canada.

Everything was very well organized and the dogs were definitely on their very best behavior. It was a perfect way to spend a Saturday. Thank you again for all your preparation, work and loving compassion for our beloved breed. Your tireless efforts are appreciated by Maggie and I.

Please let us know how we can be of service in the future.

Hello all, made it home safe and sound. To say that we had - check that, to say that we and the Bassets had an amazing time would be an understatement. We felt very welcomed and very much a part of the Basset family. It was really great to finally meet some of the people that we didn't meet last year at Woofstock, always good to put a face to someone you have emailed but not met. It was so cool to see that everyone was so excited for us that we won the room for the weekend it meant a lot to us and we thank you SO much. The gift baskets that were placed in our room were very very nice and we and the puppies are enjoying them very much, we could tell a lot of work and thought went into them. To continue the winning streak our boy Flash came in FIRST PLACE with the longest ears at 29.5"!!!! The gift bag he got was filled with a lot of cool toys and water wheel that we really liked but he will get to use! Ruffus didn't do so well in the boxer shorts relay but I think he had a lot of fun playing. It was also really nice to see that everyone was so excited to see Ruffus and to see how he was doing. Having Tom G come by to see his old freind Ruffus and to spend some time with him was really really great. We were hoping very much to meet him and thank him for coming and seeing Ruffus, it was great to shake his hand and make a friend.

The hotel was a great place and we would definitely go back there with no hesitation, they were very friendly and the facilities were excellent! The park was also a perfect spot and you all worked very hard but it was such a success I am sure you all feel it was worth it, so a big pat on the back for all of you who worked your but off to make this happen.

We hope the rescue made out very well. If you could forward this to the other members who were there as I know I don't have everyone's email. Flash, Molly, Ruffus, and my sister's dog Abbi had such a blast at the Bustle it was so cool to see them run their tails off all day and play with the other Bassets. It was also great to meet all the rescue dogs that we read all about and have never met, it meant a lot to meet them and spend some time with them. We look forward to another get together and cant wait till next time!!!

Hopefully it wont be too long to see you all again we really enjoyed your company.

We really really thank all of you for what you did for us in helping Ruffus find a home with us. It was cute to see everyone kind of dancing around the topic all weekend, we got a chuckle from it because we know your heart was in it the whole time. So we will talk soon and keep the emails coming, always nice to chat.

Just wanted to add to your great email to say what a great time I had on Saturday.

The people and the "Dogs" were great! And everyone involved did an outstanding job.

The people and dogs in attendance had a great time. My son brought our dog Hailey (Beagle hound) in the afternoon. I think she was overwhelmed but my son couldn't believe all of the dogs that were there.

If there are emails that come in with response to your email can you send them out on the mailing list?

This might help to draw everyone closer and show people that couldn't make it what a great day it was and they would try to attend next year!

And may I say what a GREAT job the members of the Board are doing along with ALL of the volunteers. And to Shawn Leslie-after helping to carry her car load of items-great work!

Hi Mindy, congrats on a great event. What a lovely park! Arthur had a great time and totally exhausted himself. He slept like a log all day Sunday. The best thing about these events is just watching the dogs play and chatting with the other folks. What a great breed! Thanks for all of your hard work. Kathleen and Arthur
